So, we're back in Gainesville, after two months of pretty much straight
touring. It's good to be back home in the middle of all my chaos of boxed
up Godzilla toys and Cometbus magazines. Right now, I'm sandwiched in
between my only fish Hercules that's happily swimming in his bowl on
my desk and my 125 pound dog Scout that is snoring louder than any human
could ever produce. I'm Vinnie, and this is LESS THAN JAKE.

This one goes out to:
First off let me say this, Thank you- to all the bands we shared our last
two months with, The TEEN IDOLS, ANTI-FLAG, NEW FOUND GLORY, FRENZAL RHOMB,
and CAPDOWN. Also, an even bigger thank you goes out to every single person
who came to the shows, sang along, and continues to support LESS THAN JAKE.

We've toured, then toured, and toured some more:
So, we started this whole mess in the United States over two months
ago. Let me be honest and say that before every tour I'm always a bit of a
pessimist -seeing huge clubs and thinking they're too big, remembering the
trouble we had with security at certain places, or dreading the bootlegging
at others. As, the tour goes on though and amazing things start to happen,
that pessimism kinda just melts away. First off let me say that every show in
the U.S. except one was sold out. That's absolutely incredible in itself, but
watching- lets say- Roger singing with the TEEN IDOLS or having Heather
from the TEEN IDOLS sing Look what happened at some shows made the tour just
about the best we'vehad in the U.S. Here's some of the best things about
that tour, Throwing the birthday party for the drummer of NEW FOUND GLORY
on stage during our set in DENVER- complete with a stocked bar, mass chaos
and almost everyone from the tour on the side of the stage, seeing a few
members of TEEN IDOLS a night onstage with us dressed in costumes, Chris in
nothing but red nylon jogging shorts and wig in L.A., thinking we had to cancel
the New York show because Chris's voice was gone then him going to a throat
doctor and then later that night going on to play the best show we ever had in
New York, Pete breaking his arm on the way to Vegas but him still playing the
rest of the U.S. tour and Europe in a cast, the 4000 people that came to the
Milwaukee show, having a party at the FAT WRECK CHORDS office in San
Francisco with everyone from the tour plus members of TILT, NOFX, and a bunch of
other people, the last day of tour in New Orleans was just over the top. I could
go on but you guys get the idea that it was a fun tour with cool people that
were kind enough to show up to see it.
After we said goodbyes to everyone we had two days off before we left for
another month of tour in Europe with Frenzal Rhomb. Here's my favorite
parts of this one, being trapped inside the club in Porto, Portugal because
the water in the river next to the club rose to the front door from all the
rain that day then getting out through a small back door and running our
equipment through burnt out buildings- up too many stairs to count- hopping
over the river banks- and then through back alleys (doesn't sound like fun but
crazy amazing though), playing the German festival that was aired on T.V.,
seeing CAPDOWN from the U.K. play, seeing FRENZAL play everyday, drinking wine
with the kids that drove from France to the Madrid show, inviting 300 kids to
see us play at the after party that we had in London at the ASTORIA (we
played a sloppy set of request songs that we never play anymore like Dopeman,
ect), the three sold out shows at the ASTORIA, everyone that came to the
U.K. shows for making us feel like we were home, our tour manager destroying his
ankle then staying for the rest of tour on crutches, seeing the guys from SNUFF
and MAD CADDIES and seeing the biggest circle pit inside a club I've ever
seen in Glasgow, Scotland.
I just wanna say that all the shows in Europe and U.K. ruled, I've said it
before but I'll say it again: to be so far away from home and have people
come see your band is just the best feeling in the world. Again, thanx to
everyone for coming out to see us.

What I'll do for my summer vacation:
The next tour we have lined up is WARPED TOUR, we're on every show and I
personally plan on sweating more than you could ever want to
envision. There's a ton of bands on the tour, way too many for me to name, so
go check the dates and bands out on the warped website. We plan on having a
huge tent that we're sharing with FUELED BY RAMEN, so everyone should stop
by to get some free stuff and play stupid games with a bunch of rednecks that
we're bringing along. Oh yeah one of the prizes we have planned is a CD of
just Roger and Chris talking (that means no music..don't ask) recorded from
the shows in Europe. I heard some of it on tape and it's bizarre and
hilarious. You're gonna have to do something insane to get one those
things..for sure. So, you should check our tent for the times we'll be playing
and the times that we're gonna bring out some craziness at the tent. See
you there sunburnt and sweating.

Yeah, I know about dot com:
Lots of people have been wondering what's up with lessthanjake.com.
Originally we were just gonna sorta redo the graphics but after we thought
about it we decided to change the format all together. We're gonna put in
lots of writing by us, like JR's Europe tour diary, personal interviews from us
by us, or my written history of the band. Plus, put all our personal pictures
from tours up on the site. I think that what we're after is just a more
personalized site, not just retreads of way old interviews and pictures.
So, with that said it's gonna take some time to do what we wanna do.
So please be patient.

A home video that won't have my mom in it:
We're piecing together our home videos together slowly, I've found some
funny stuff lately in my collection. I don't have a date on when we'll be done,
but I can say we started to get it together. If you have any good videos that
you think we might like email us at ltjpezkings@yahoo.com and let us know.

Random randomness:
We'll have a bunch of new t-shirt designs plus some of the ones we had
last tour, we still have a few of the 3" CDs left. For people who don't know
it's 7 live songs, and was recorded at Bottom of the hill in San
Francisco.
If you want an interview on warped email us at ltjpezkings@yahoo.com to
figure out specifics.
You kick ass if you came to the Atlanta Midtown to see us play last
weekend.
Go buy the new TEEN IDOLS, ANTIFLAG, FRENZAL RHOMB, CAPDOWN and NEW FOUND
GLORY records. They rule.
See everyone out on tour.
